Stars speak up for arrested Bieber

Lady Gaga and Ellie Goulding have both defended Justin Bieber who was arrested for driving under the influence and without a license.

Ellie said: ‘It’s such a weird life to live’.

Lady Gaga used the term Beliebers for people who follow the beleaguered singer and posted on her Little Monsters website that people should be supportive of the singer and his fans. She encouraged people to use the hashtag #MonstersSupportBeliebers.

The two chart toppers seemed keen to use Biebers’ going off the rails to remind music fans of the pressures people face in the public eye and it isn’t the bed of roses people imagine.

Goulding says that that the press are quick to bash the Canadian sensation because of the way in which he sometimes behaves, but she confessed that while he has made some mistakes she thinks this will be a wake-up call and will get him back on track.

“People are being quite harsh about him. I find it hard to be that critical. I cannot possibly relate to what his life is like.”

“There are people in this world and in this industry that have done really well and are really successful, and deal with it in the right way, but still I think even people like that have been through a phase where everything gets a bit too much. You have to be in a bad place to [get] back in a good place and know what it’s like.”

As Lady Gaga sees this: “We may not understand everything celebrities do because there’s only so much we see, but Justin and Beliebers were ‘born this way’ too.”
